New Rochelle Ice Rink - New Rochelle, NY
Provided seamless and turnkey holiday shops and ice rink installation, operations, and infrastructure to operate an outdoor Holiday Market experience at the New Rochelle Transit Center.
We provided the following elements::
• (35), 8’ x 10’, Holiday Market Kiosks
• Generator(s) and power distribution
• (1) 24’ x 60’ synthetic ice-skating rink
• (1) 16’ long x 8’ wide stage
• Holiday lighting and decorations on kiosks, trees and bushes, train station building and columns of Transit Center garage.
Core objectives of the project:
• The Ice Rink and Holiday Market will be the seasonal winter centerpiece for The City of New Rochelle
• Deliver a unique guest experience and amenity for all visitors;
• Design and facilitate a program that is uniform and cohesively themed with the design, décor, branding and messaging;
• Engage with the local community, civic groups, charitable organizations, schools, and residential audiences through the promotion of public programs, events, and attractions;
• Encourage participation of third party affiliates and retail partners to support the holiday program and provide added value to guests by actively engaging consumers through promotions, programming enhancements and shared marketing efforts.
The Rink at Canalside - Buffalo, NY
12,000 sq ft outdoor rink, temporarily installed each winter season, offers a flexible and dynamic winter destination.

Legacy was selected by Rich Products Corporation to provide public space and ice rink management and operations expertise for the development of the Canalside redevelopment project with the NYEDC.
Core objectives of the project:
• Position Canalside as a year round destination for locals and tourists;
• Establish a business plan for incorporating recreation, entertainment and food and beverage options for all guests;
• Deliver a unique guest experience and amenity for all visitors;
• Design and facilitate a program that is uniform and cohesively themed with the design, décor, branding and messaging;
• Engage with the local community, civic groups, charitable organizations, schools, and residential audiences through the promotion of public programs, events, and attractions;
• Review and outline all operational procedures, protocols and implementations for the mechanical and infrastructure systems.
Governors Island Winter Village Rink - New York, NY
5,000 sq ft outdoor ice rink and full winter village experience, attracts both residents and tourists to Governor’s Island.

Through the creation of the Winter Village experience, Governors Island was able to extend from a seasonal operation into a year around destination. We provided seamless and turnkey rink installation, operations, and inclusive of general and project management.

Brooklyn Commons Rink - Brooklyn, NY

• Brookfield Properties wanted to activate the common plaza throughout the winter season and provide an amenity to the public;
• The Ice Rink became the seasonal winter centerpiece for The Holidays at Brooklyn Commons:
• Deliver an exceptional and unique guest experience and amenity for all visitors and tenants surrounding the plaza;
• Established online ticketing platform and booking system for groups and local schools
• Design and facilitate a program that is uniform and cohesively themed with the design, décor, branding and messaging of Brooklyn Commons;
• Engage with the local community, civic groups, charitable organizations, schools, and residential audiences through the promotion of public programs, events, and attractions;
McCarren Rink - Brooklyn, NY
9,000 sq. ft. winter rink in Brooklyn, NY offering a unique outdoor open-air skating experience.
25,000 visitors per season
In partnership with Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn, Legacy conceptualized, produced and operated McCarren Rink as North Brooklyn’s destination for winter fun. As North Brooklyn’s only outdoor ice skating experience, McCarren Rink offered a seasonal recreational outlet for both adults and children. McCarren Rink became a treasured winter destination for the residents of Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, and beyond.
• The McCarren pool and recreation center was transformed into an annual winter ice skating destination
•McCarren rink was temporarily installed on top of the swimming pool to create a “pool deck” structure that supported the ice rink
• The rink was North Brooklyn’s ultimate destination for winter fun, offering skating classes, clinics and demonstrations, in addition to providing skate rentals and skate sharpening.
• Legacy installed, maintained, and operated the rink including all food and beverage operations and curated exclusive programming and events.
Seaport Ice Rink -
New York, NY
5,000 sq. ft. winter rink in Lower Manhattan, offering a unique skating experience in the historic Seaport District of Lower Manhattan. 45,000 visitors per season
In partnership with General growth Properties and later Howard Hughes Corporation, Legacy conceptualized, produced and operated Seaport Ice, a modular outdoor 12,000 square foot outdoor attraction and ice skating rink with related ancillary facilities that were temporarily installed each winter season on the boardwalks and piers at South Street Seaport. This was the first phase of a master plan to redevelop, reimagine and infuse community based activities into the downtown landscape.
•The rink had several iterations over the years, starting as a 15,000 square foot holiday ice rink on the pier boardwalk
• 50,000+ skaters and 600,000 visitors in 12-week period
•Later, the rink shifted to the cobblestone area to encourage visitation to local retailers and be closer to the main avenue for greater visibility and easier accessibility.
•We were engaged to help install, maintain and operate the rink, as well as to help transform the District into a year round destination through curated programming and events.
